Guide, fix and tweaks to boost frame rate (FPS) and PC performance in KCD using advanced graphics detail settings, VSync, RAM and more.More details below:#.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a little rough around the edges, even after a massive day one patch. The developers have promised more future updates to fix a wide range of bugs, which is good news for fans. Still, there’s no promise patches will improve the game’s current sluggish optimization. If you’re a PC player, and you’re looking for way to improve performance, we’ve got a few tips here.
- The game has its console enabled, so you can tweak the game through console commands. If you use the ansel enhancement tools linked above, you can change any cvar in the game's engine. The engine is a modified CryEngine so you can use the custom cfg files and keybinds to enhance the graphics and other game aspects. See below how to do that.
- Kingdom come: deliverance annoying graphics. It should be dealt with the shadow distance settings via console but i just can't find the right console command.
- While there are a number of console commands for Kingdom Come: Deliverance, they're bit limited in what they let you do in the medieval RPG. Unlike the codes in Skyrim or Fallout 4, Kingdom Come's console codes don't let you go crazy with unlimited money, add items to your inventory, or let you teleport around the map as if by magic.
- Ultra Low Graphics Mode. Mod for Kingdom Come: Deliverance based on and inspired by Game of Thrones. 999999999 pounds By.hantis447. & A simple console command.
In Kingdom Come: Deliverance, you play as a commoner in the Holy Roman Empire — a simple blacksmith on a quest to avenge the death of your father, and the destruction of your hometown. It’s an open-world RPG in the vein of Skyrim, with none of the magic. It’s meant to be a hardcore representation of the middle ages. At the start of the game, you don’t even know how to read.

How To Improve PC Performance | Tweaks Guide
[NOTE: These tweaks may not work for you, but they should all be safe to test and attempt. If you’ve got tweaks of your own, or found something we missed, let us know in the comments section!]
Basic Tips
Before diving into the more complicated methods to squeeze extra life in your game, there are a few simple tweaks you can try.
- Run the game in Fullscreen.
- Set the game to match your native resolution.
- Under Advanced Graphics Settings, don’t increase any settings above High.
- The most taxing system performance settings are: Physics, Shadows, Textures, Vegetation Detail, and Vegetation Draw Distance.
Try lowering some or all of these settings first if your game is running poorly. Test them all out — you can also choose to show an FPS counter in Settings, making it easier to benchmark performance while playing around with the settings to see what’s best for you.
How To Fix FPS Drops in Cutscenes
Strangely, there is a bug in the current version of Kingdom Come that switches the game to borderless windowed mode instead of fullscreen. This is especially prevalent in cutscenes, and instantly causes huge FPS drops.
- Press Alt+Enter when in a cutscene if the FPS has dropped to switch back to fullscreen.
Fullscreen offers a more stable experience all-around. Playing in windowed mode is not advised right now. You can change fullscreen in the normal Settings menu from the pause screen.
Disable VSYNC & Limit Framerate
Vsync is on by default, but it can be disabled in the config file. Likely, this feature will be patched in the future, but for now, you can disable it manually.
- Find your Kingdom Come: Deliverance installation folder.
- EX. C:Program Files (x86)SteamsteamappscommonKingdomComeDeliverance
- Create a .txt file and name it user.cfg
- This will create a config file in the KingdomComeDeliverance folder.
- Copy/paste r_vsync=0 into the file and save.
- To limit framerate, add sys_maxfps=60 to the file. The number can be changed to any framerate you want.
Save the file and you’ll find vsync disabled in-game.
Improve RAM Usage
A similar problem occurred in Skyrim — the program just wasn’t using all the RAM your computer has available. To fix that, you’ll need to set the heapsize for the amount of RAM your computer has available in the Steam Launch Options.
- Right-Click on Kingdom Come: Deliverance in your Steam Library and find ‘Set Launch Options‘. Copy/paste the heapsize command for the amount of RAM.
- 4GB: “-heapsize 524288”
- 8GB: “-heapsize 1048576”
- 12GB: “-heapsize 1572864”
- 16GB: “-heapsize 2097152”
- 24GB: “-heapsize 3145728”
- 32GB: “-heapsize 4194304”
- 64GB: “-heapsize 8388608”
NVIDIA SLI Fix
To improve compatibility with Nvidia SLI cards, use Nvidia Inspector. Download and install, and you can force SLI and overclocking onto programs that don’t naturally support this feature.

Try forcing NVIDIA Predefined number of GPUs to use on SLI rendering — make sure it is set to two. You should also set SLI mode in DirectX 10 to force AFR2.
